Jo Jo

We were incredibly happy and fortunate when Jo Jo entered our lives in the fall of 2011. Jo Jo's main passion includes chasing tennis balls and swimming. Her tail can't stop wagging during our frequent trips to the beach or lake where she gets to swim out to fetch tennis balls.

When dogs come to stay with us, Jo Jo is often the first to greet them and announce their arrival to her hotel with a friendly 'hello' bark, as she spends much of the day sleeping in our front yard watching for people, cars, or dogs to pull up.

Jo Jo insists on going everywhere with her dad (Dan). Including biking or rollerblading to town, visiting friends houses, or the frequent trips to the dog parks. Be sure to also check out what Jo Jo has been up to by visiting her Facebook page: Jo Jo's Facebook Page

Dan

Dan has always loved dogs and has been surrounded by dogs almost his entire life. One of his best memories as a child was the day he won a dog (Winnie the Pooch) after spending $0.50 in a carnival contest. Until 2015 Dan worked full time as an engineer, managing QA and IT departments. He gave most of that up to follow his passion. When the dogs are napping, he still dabbles in engineering (programming mostly Python) and options trading.

He loves to take the dogs on adventures. Traveling most weeks to the beach or a lake, or hiking a nearby peak with the dogs. You may also see Dan biking or rollerblading with Jo Jo around town.

Kathy

Dan introduced Kathy to dogs, and Kathy quickly learned to love them. She really enjoys taking them for walks around town or hiking with them on nearby trails. In 2017 Kathy quit her engineering job to follow her two passions: dogs and photography. She attended photography classes at Stanford University and has now taken on the job as the primary photographer at Jo Jo's Hotel. During your dogs stay with us you are sure to receive many high-quality photos of your dog from Kathy.

Along with documenting your dog's stay with us through pictures, Kathy also takes photos of other events. This has included taking pictures of a marathon, graduations, wedding proposal, and portraits as well as being hired as a photographer for the Los Altos Town Crier and by NextDoor Photos. Her photographic work has been displayed at the main Milpitas Library and in the Los Altos main library.
